Unlike common joint ingredients that work by simply reducing inflammation or lubricating joints, UC-II® takes a different approach:
Bind – The intact collagen reaches the Peyer’s patches in the small intestine, where its epitopes bind to immune cells.
Trigger – This interaction stimulates regulatory T cells (Tregs) that modulate the immune response.
Build – These Tregs migrate to the joints and release anti-inflammatory cytokines (like IL-10 and TGF-β), which stimulate chondrocytes to protect and rebuild cartilage.
This mechanism offers long-term benefits and works synergistically with the body’s own processes – something not seen with other collagen types.
